Head of Manufacturing and Industrialisation

Responsibilities

• Establish production planning, work orders and daily shop-floor management.
• Coordinate manufacturing engineering, AFP operations, technicians, maintenance and material availability.
• Establish production procedures and work-instruction implementation.
• Lead equipment commissioning and manufacturing-readiness activities.
• Coordinate engineering-to-production handovers.
• Monitor production output, work-in-progress, scrap, rework and equipment downtime.
• Identify production bottlenecks and organise corrective actions.
• Establish preventive-maintenance planning in coordination with engineering and service providers.
• Coordinate tooling readiness, material kitting and production priorities.
• Ensure production follows approved engineering instructions.
• Coordinate with quality to prevent unauthorised process changes and product release.
• Establish traceable production records and daily performance reviews.
• Coordinate packaging, dispatch and delivery commitments.
• Maintain facility-operating procedures, risk registers and safety-action tracking.
• Coordinate appropriate external support for statutory inspections, fire safety and other specialist requirements.

Essential qualifications

• Degree or diploma in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial or operations engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Significant experience in manufacturing operations and industrialisation.
• Demonstrated experience establishing production systems, managing equipment or commissioning manufacturing processes.
• Strong planning, troubleshooting and team-coordination skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing quality systems, maintenance and workplace safety.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, composites, precision engineering or advanced manufacturing.
