Privacy and recruitment safety
Candidate privacy notice
This notice explains how DANTA INNOVATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED (“DANTA”) handles the personal information you provide when you apply for a vacancy or join the talent community through this site.
Notice version: draft-1
Draft notice — pending legal review
This notice describes how this recruitment platform handles candidate information. It has not yet been reviewed against applicable Indian data-protection requirements and may change before it is finalised. What we collect
We collect only what is reasonably needed to assess you for a role:
- Contact details — your name, email address, telephone number, and current city and country.
- Background — your highest relevant qualification, institution, field of study, experience and technical skills.
- Role-specific answers — your responses to the questions set for the vacancy.
- Documents — your CV and any supporting documents you choose to upload, and links you choose to share.
- Recruitment records — notes, interview feedback and status updates created by DANTA during the process.
- Referral channel — a short label such as “linkedin” if you arrived from a tagged link. No tracking cookies or third-party analytics are used on this site.
We do not ask for a photograph, religion, caste, marital status or similar sensitive personal information, and you should not include it in your CV or answers.
If you found a vacancy on LinkedIn or another external platform, the information you give that platform is handled under its own privacy policy. DANTA receives your application only through the forms on this site.
Why we collect it
- To assess your suitability for the vacancy you applied for.
- To contact you about your application, including interviews and the outcome.
- To keep a record of how recruitment decisions were made.
- If you opt in, to keep you in the talent community and contact you about future roles.
Your information is not sold and is not used for marketing.
Legal basis
DANTA handles candidate information under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.
- Your consent — when you submit an application or join the talent community you are asked to agree to a specific consent statement. The exact wording you agreed to is stored with your submission.
- Withdrawing consent — you can withdraw it at any time using the request form on this page. If you withdraw consent while an application is open, DANTA will not be able to consider it further.
How applications are evaluated
Each vacancy has criteria set by DANTA. When you apply, your answers are checked against those criteria and the application is given a working classification — for example “eligible for review” or “manual review” — together with the reason for it. Reviewers can see and override that classification.
This check organises the review. It does not reject applications, and every hiring decision is made by authorised people. Personal characteristics unrelated to the role are not used. This platform does not use an AI system to evaluate candidates, and your documents are not sent to any external AI service.
Who can access it
Access is limited to authorised DANTA personnel involved in recruitment, according to their role: the recruitment team, the hiring manager for the vacancy, and interviewers assigned to you. Access to applications and documents is controlled and significant actions are logged.
Your documents are held in private storage and are never publicly accessible.
Service providers
DANTA uses service providers to operate this site. They process candidate information only on DANTA’s behalf:
- Web hosting for this site.
- A managed database that stores application records.
- Private file storage for uploaded documents.
- A transactional email service, used to send messages such as your application confirmation.
Application records and uploaded documents are stored in India. The web hosting and email providers may process information on servers outside India.
How we protect it
- Connections to this site are encrypted.
- Uploaded documents are held in private storage and can be opened only by signed-in, authorised DANTA staff.
- What each member of staff can see depends on their role, and significant actions are logged.
If a personal data breach affects your information, DANTA will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
How long we keep it
- Applications are kept for up to 12 months after submission, then reviewed for deletion.
- Talent-community registrations are kept for up to 24 months, or until you withdraw your consent if sooner.
- If you are hired, relevant information becomes part of your employment record.
Where DANTA is legally required to keep certain records for longer, a deletion request is reviewed by an authorised person rather than applied automatically, and we will tell you the outcome.
Your requests
You can ask DANTA for access to the information held about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw your talent-community consent. Use the form below. Each request is reviewed by an authorised person, and we may need to confirm your identity first.
You can also nominate another person to make these requests for you if you die or become unable to act. If you are not satisfied with how DANTA has handled your information or a request, raise it with the privacy contact below. If it is still not resolved, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
